‘KORO D’OR’ Three Year Old Select Performance Competition and Sale Selection Day

On Thursday 12 May, 30 of the best Three Year Olds will be selcted to compete in the Three Year Old Loose Jumping Class on Saturday 4 June during the Mullingar International Horse Show followed by Auction that evening.

With a quality attendance of owners, riders and producers this has to be an ideal audience for producers to show their three year olds and find a buyer. Saturday 4 June, the second day of the CSI 2* Mullingar International Horse Show, is the day of the 5, 6 & 7 YO ISH Studbook Qualifiers and the opening day of the International Jumping Classes.

The top two three-year-olds on the Final Day will qualify for the Millstreet Young Irelander in August. It will be an opportunity also to rehearse for the Dublin qualifiers in Mullingar the following weeks.

In addition, with sponsorship from the owners of ‘Koro d’Or’, there will be a generous prizefund for the first six placed colt/geldings and the first six placed fillies, as follows: First placed Colt/Gelding receives €250, 2nd €100, 3rd €100, 4th €100, 5th €100, 6th €100, and First placed Filly receives €250, 2nd €100, 3rd €100, 4th €100, 5th €100, 6th €100. To be eligible for the prizemoney animals must be shown in the sales ring.

On the Selection Day it is planned to film the three-year-olds to produce a Video Catalogue for the Performance Competition and Sale at the International Show.

The final decision in respect of the auction will be made in consultation with producers, and will be decided on the Selection Day.

Conditions
Three year olds qualifying on the Selection Day on Thursday 12 May will have 24 hours to declare for the final. The entry fee for the final, and the auction, is €150.00. Vet certs will be required for the auction. The normal conditions of sale will apply, with the normal commissions of 3% to the vendor and 6% to the purchaser.

Koro_dOrKORO D’OR JUMPED AT NATIONS CUP LEVEL. HE WON THE DERBY IN LA BAULE AND THE GRAND PRIX IN ATHENS. HE WON MORE THAN €250,000 PRIZE MONEY WITH MICHEL ROBERT. HIS FEE IS €500 AND HE STANDS WITH PHILIP MCMANUS.
