Results  Schedule

The curtain has come down on another very successful interschools showjumping year. A huge thanks to Helen, Yvonne & Alyssa on behalf of the equestrian inter schools committee, who have worked tirelessly all year to keep the schools event  calendar, results & league table updated  &  in order for all involved.  What  a selection of generous prizes they had on offer today.

Three arenas were busy all day with some  top class jumping throughout. Well done to all the prize winners and in particular to Newbridge College who took the Open League Team Event & winner’s prize on the day, St Finian’s College Mullingar who won the Novice Team Event & Scoil Padraig Clane the Primary school winners.

The day would not be possible without the support of all the competitors, parents, guardians & teachers. I heard so many stories of some of  the  minor challenges faced by many  today  from jeeps breaking down,  trailers not performing to strangers rescuing ladies in distress & driving them all the way from Ardee to Mullingar …..it can only make us realise the importance of a good & kind deed (well done Tyler for making it down!) & that it’s not always about winning ….

What a team we had on the ground today from our judges, announcers (Wilson the voice of Mullingar interschools, Ailbhe & Christine), course designers, starters & arena party.

Finallly a big thank you to our sponsors  TRI, Jump in Action, Mullingar Equestrian & 5 Star Transport & Jimmy Cullen . No doubt Newbridge College will do us proud in Hickstead in August .

For those sitting the leaving cert in a couple of weeks the very best of luck in your exams & to everyone else we look forward to more of the same next Year
