The 9th Mullingar CSI 2* International Horse Show runs from Friday the 3rd to Monday the 6th of June 2016. It is one of the most diverse equestrian events in the country hosting many competitions including 9 International Show Jumping Classes, 3 Horse Sport Ireland Classes and over 70 National Classes. Show highlights include the Pegus Puissance, the Devenish ‘Bet Show Jumping Live’ speed competition, the International Grand Prix, the Leading Young Rider award, the 3 Year Old Loose Jumping Competition & Auction as well as showing and pony classes. The show is one of only three International Show Jumping events in Ireland each year and attracts top riders from Ireland and overseas to compete for a prize fund of €90,000.
Family Fun Days Sunday 5 & Monday 6 June
In addition to four days of top show jumping competitions there will be entertaining displays and family friendly activities across the showground’s on Sunday 5th & Monday 6th of June. It’s a great day out and there is something for all the family to do!

Kids Entertainment
There’s lots for children to do at the Mullingar Country Fayre and International Horse Show. After watching some of the horse or pony show jumping visit the Agri-Aware Pet Farm or take your little ones for a pony ride. The Entertainment Village provides plenty for kids to do including bouncing castles, interactive games and face painting.
On Monday the 6th Tractor Ted will be making an appearance from 10am until 4pm. A loveable children’s character who captivates, entertains and educates young children with his exciting stories of real life farm adventures and discovery. Come and join Tractor Ted for a day of fun filled activities from the Giant Tractor Ted Bouncy Castle to Digger Den and much more!
The older kids can visit the Carnival where there are carnival rides, games, candy floss and more or have a go on the inflatable obstacle course or disco dome. The rock climbing wall, archery and zorb balls are back by popular demand this year.
Grab a bite to eat in the restaurant or one of the food stalls, kids are well catered for with menu options.
Live Music
The Entertainment Village is host to a live music marquee where bands will play on Sunday and Monday afternoon from 12pm to 5pm. Keep an eye on our Facebook for more info on the line up.
‘A Night to Remember’ Sunday 5th June- This year we have The Voice finalist, Nigel Connell and the Maddison’s performing at the Barn Dance from 9pm until late. Tickets €15
Food and Craft Stalls
Stop by the Food and Craft Stalls where you will find the best of local food producers and crafts makers. The Food and Craft Marquee is located in the centre of The Entertainment Village.
Food & Drink
There are plenty of Food to Go stalls and outlets throughout the showgrounds with options and prices to suit everyone.
A hospitality marquee with tables overlooking the Main Arena provides uninterrupted views of the top national and international show jumping classes. Reserve a table or a seat for the day and enjoy a buffet BBQ lunch as well as morning and afternoon refreshments.
