IRELAND’S PREMIER SHOWJUMPING & EQUESTRIAN EVENTS VENUE

2026 Mullingar International CSI2* Tour celebrates the Year of the Fire Horse

The horse has long been a symbol of strength, speed, courage, and success — qualities that lie at the very heart of Irish Show Jumping. Inspired by the powerful symbolism of the Fire Horse in Chinese tradition, this year’s theme for the Mullingar International Tour celebrates the energy, bravery, agility, and determination shared by both horse and rider in elite competition.

As the host of two International Shows, we recognise the extraordinary partnership between horse and rider — a combination of power, precision, skill, and fearless ambition performed at the highest national and international level.

To mark the occasion, we commissioned award-winning Irish Equine Artist, Sadhbh O’Brien, to create a bespoke winner’s rug that captures the spirit of the Fire Horse. Known for her vivid and atmospheric equestrian artwork, Sadhbh’s design reflects the speed, courage, agility, and power that define both the horse and the sport of show jumping at the highest level. Rich in symbolism and dramatic in design, the artwork incorporates the five traditional elements — Fire, Water, Wood, Metal, and Earth — representing balance, harmony, strength, and energy.

Presented to the winner of each class during the International Show, the rug is both a prize and a work of art: a symbol of excellence, unity, and achievement within the sport.

We are looking forward to welcoming all our riders, their supporters and spectators to Mullingar from 22 May to 1 June for two weeks of top-level international showjumping competition and to celebrating the worthy winners with these beautiful commemorative rugs.

We look forward to seeing you soon. Buy a Brick on the Sponsors Wall to give your support.
